With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, many people have bought treadmills at home. The treadmill can meet the needs of some people to exercise without going out, which is very convenient. So, what if the home treadmill breaks down? How about calling for professional repairs? This method is expensive, and you have to wait a long time. How about taking a treadmill out for maintenance? The treadmill is bulky and inconvenient to transport. If we can learn to identify simple treadmill faults and repair methods, then we can do it easily by ourselves. Why not?
When the following phenomena occur, the controller of the treadmill is malfunctioning, and it should be solved by replacing the controller.
- If you press the start button after powering on, the treadmill will run at high speed immediately without stopping.
- After power on, the treadmill has normal display, and the buzzer is also in normal condition. If you press the start button, the time window can count for 5 seconds, and then the buzzer sounds again, but the treadmill doesn't run.
- The display shows normal, the buzzer is normal, but the running belt does not move after the treadmill is started.
- The display shows normal after power on. After the treadmill is started, the relay is closed, but the running belt moves a little and stops immediately.
- After power on, the display shows normal, but the relay does not pull in. If you press the start button, the running belt doesn’t move.
- The start, stop, acceleration/deceleration functions are normal, but the load capacity is poor. The equipment is normal when idling, but the person cannot work normally on the treadmill. All these are caused by the loss of magnetism of the motor.
- The display screen and controller are normal, but the treadmill has no response after starting. This is because the carbon brush is not in place and stuck. The brush should be reinstalled or replaced.
- The motor accelerates automatically after starting. However, the running belt stops after 0.5-3 laps or its speed is unstable during the running. This is caused by severe wear of the carbon brushes.
- After the treadmill is started, there is a collision or abnormal loud noise in the motor. It is caused by damage to the motor.
- After the treadmill is powered on, the display is normal and the startup is normal, but the acceleration and deceleration do not work.
- After power on, each digital tube lights up at the same time, but the buzzer does not sound, and all the buttons do not work.
- After power on, without pressing the start button, the treadmill automatically runs at the lowest speed, and acceleration and deceleration do not work.
- The start button and stop button are normal. The treadmill can accelerate but not decelerate.
- After pressing the start button, the treadmill can run at the initial speed, but will stop after 5 seconds.
- After the treadmill is started, the speed display window displays a single kilometer. Nothing happens when you press acceleration or deceleration.
- The start and stop buttons are in normal status, but the treadmill has no response by pressing acceleration or deceleration.
Do you understand the above failure phenomena? If it is within the scope of our ability, we can carry out our own repairs. However, if it is beyond the scope of ability, it is still recommended to ask a professional repairer to repair and solve the fault.
Finally, I would like to remind you of the precautions for using the treadmill: you should warm up before using the treadmill, and then gradually intensify, otherwise it is very likely to cause strain on the thigh and calf muscles, which will have certain effects on the joints damage. Generally, a warm-up time of about 15 minutes is enough. When preparing to get off the treadmill, you should also slow down slowly, otherwise you may be dizzy and faint. The exercise time is about forty minutes, otherwise it is very likely to cause sports injuries. In addition, you should pay attention to adjusting your breathing when you exercise. I wish everyone can become a runner.
